Not so much a Hill runner as a multisport athlete with no particular specialism.
27 years old and about to embark on an adventure to New Zealand for at least a year but with the hope of staying out for a while longer.
In terms of hill racing I'm no good on anything rocky or slippy and would love any races that have a steep uphill and a shallow down.

Career Highlights
|
|
|
2006 saw me become the first Scot to complete 3 half ironman triathlons on home soil (Aberfeldy, Orkney and the Big Triathlon culminating in an ascent of the Ben), OK, so it was the first year that they had 3 in Scotland, but even so....
Also managed to get my name on the adventure show when I was sitting in 2nd coming off of the bike at the Orkney Half Ironman, but that probably shows how far I have to go to get to the top of the field!
2006 also saw me complete my first Ironman Triathlon and 2007 will hopefully see me nail a good time at Ironman New Zealand.
Hill Running highlights have been completing the Lhairig Ghru race (5th from last back in 2004) and a lot of enjoyment in various races of all lengths.

Race Records

Yeah, I can claim fastest bike split at Orkney Middle Distance Tri (for one year only), not an official course record but it'll have to do.
